BienPoMD Aesthetics
Patient guide
General preparation guidance for BienPoMD patients. Your personal written instructions always take priority.
Procedures are strictly by appointment. Follow the date and arrival time given by the clinic.
Tell the clinic about allergies, previous anesthesia reactions, bleeding problems, heart, lung, kidney, or other conditions, and all medicines or supplements you take.
You may be advised to stop aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, ginkgo, and other blood-thinning supplements about two weeks before. Never stop prescribed medicine without clearance from the prescribing doctor.
Awake minor procedures may not require fasting and usually allow a light meal. Sedation or anesthesia requires a specific fasting plan. Follow the instruction written for you.
If you use semaglutide, tirzepatide, or another GLP-1 medicine, inform the clinic and your prescribing doctor. The timing of any hold and fasting plan must be individualized.
Do not drink alcohol before your procedure. Follow the clinic’s stated preparation window.
Come without makeup, skin care, sunscreen, perfume, and—in relevant procedures—deodorant, unless the clinic tells you otherwise.
Remove jewelry, watches, piercings, and other valuables before coming to the clinic.
Choose loose, comfortable clothing that opens in front when possible. Bring clean socks.
Follow the clinic’s instruction about a companion and driving restrictions, especially when sedation or a larger procedure is planned.
For a scheduled procedure, arrive approximately 30 minutes before your appointment unless a different time is given.
If you become ill, start a new medicine, or have an unexpected health concern, contact the clinic before coming.
Meet Dr. Bien in person, discuss what concerns you, and receive an honest assessment of what may—or may not—be appropriate.
