What Is Alarplasty Trifecta?

Alarplasty Trifecta is BienPoMD’s combined approach for refining wide nostrils, lifting overhanging alar wings, and narrowing a flared nasal base—without changing the nasal bridge.

01

Alar Trim

Reduces excess width along the nostril rim.

02

Alar Lift

Elevates overhanging or drooping alar rims.

03

Nostril Base Resection

Narrows flare at the base of the nostrils.

Who May Be a Candidate?

This procedure may be considered for patients with:

  • Alar overhang—makapal o nakalaylay ang gilid ng ilong
  • A wide nostril base—malapad ang base ng butas ng ilong
  • Visible nostril flaring when smiling or talking

A consultation is still necessary. Nostril shape, skin thickness, natural asymmetry, scarring tendency, breathing, and overall facial proportions must be assessed before surgery is recommended.

Alarplasty changes the nostril rim and base; it does not raise a low nasal bridge. The aim is balance, not overcorrection. No specific result can be guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

Alarplasty Trifecta FAQs

Will I be asleep during surgery?

Most patients remain awake under local anesthesia with oral sedation. IV sedation is optional and requires laboratory tests.

When can I return to work or school?

Light social activities may resume in about 1–2 weeks. Swelling is usually more noticeable during the first few days, and healing varies.

Do I need medical clearance or laboratory tests?

These may be required when you have an existing medical condition, take certain medicines, or choose IV sedation. The clinic will advise you after assessment.

Will there be visible scars?

Incisions are generally placed along natural nostril creases. Scars may fade over time, but every patient heals differently and no scar can be promised to become invisible.

Is it painful?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with oral sedation. Many patients describe discomfort as minimal, but pain experience varies.

Can it be combined with other nose procedures?

Yes, when appropriate. It may be planned with tip refinement, bridge enhancement, or revision surgery after a full nasal assessment.
