What Is Tipplasty?

Tipplasty reshapes or strengthens the nasal tip without necessarily changing the entire nose. The plan depends on the cartilage, skin thickness, projection, symmetry, and breathing support.

Who May Be A Candidate?

It may suit patients concerned about a broad, drooping, weak, uneven, or poorly defined nasal tip. A full Rhinoplasty may be more appropriate when the bridge or overall nasal structure also needs correction.

Procedure and Recovery

Tipplasty may use ear cartilage, existing nasal cartilage, sutures, or a combination. Swelling is expected and tip definition develops gradually over several months.

Risks and Limitations

Possible concerns include bleeding, infection, asymmetry, scarring, prolonged swelling, altered sensation, breathing changes, cartilage warping, and revision surgery.
