What Is Fat Graft Transfer?

Fat is collected from another part of the body, prepared, and carefully placed into selected facial areas. It may restore volume in the temples, cheeks, under-eyes, lips, or other areas when appropriate.

Who May Be A Candidate?

Suitable patients need enough donor fat, realistic expectations, and a medical assessment that confirms the planned areas can be treated safely.

Procedure and Recovery

Swelling and bruising can affect both the donor and treated areas. Some transferred fat is naturally reabsorbed, so the final retained volume cannot be predicted exactly.

Risks and Limitations

Possible concerns include asymmetry, contour irregularity, infection, oil cysts, calcification, undercorrection, overcorrection, fat necrosis, and rare but serious vascular complications.
